Elementary Program
At GAISR, our American curriculum is designed to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of students in a nurturing and dynamic environment. Our approach encourages student voice, choice, and ownership, empowering each learner to engage meaningfully with their education.
The program integrates cross-curricular, hands-on learning experiences that make core subjects like Math, English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies both relevant and accessible. Through project-based learning, real-world application, and technology integration, students develop not only a strong academic foundation but also the critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed for the future.
Our curriculum is built around the whole child, promoting curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. Students are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, and take initiative in their learning. They are guided to reflect on their progress and set personal goals, building confidence and responsibility as lifelong learners.
Social-emotional learning (SEL) is embedded throughout the school day, teaching students to understand themselves and others, resolve conflicts, and build positive relationships. These skills are essential for navigating the complexities of both school life and the wider world.
We place a strong emphasis on 21st-century skills, including digital literacy, communication, and global awareness. Students learn to see the world from multiple perspectives and are encouraged to become thoughtful, informed global citizens.
By the end of Grade 5, GAISR students are well-prepared to transition into middle school, equipped with the academic skills, personal strengths, and growth mindset needed to succeed in an ever-evolving world.
